During the Miss Earth United States pageant in August, 46 delegates from around the country competed at events in the nation’s capital. The national director is Laura Clark, owner of US Earth Productions, Inc. in Washington, DC.
Stellakis arrived to the Philippines on October 6. During the course of these three weeks, she has toured multiple islands, participated in media interviews, fashion shows and ecological activities. She earned a Bronze medal as "Darling of the Press" and a Gold medal in Swimwear. The final week of competition will include the national costume competition, talent competition and judge interview. Delegates are also evaluated on ecological video, evening gown, resort wear, and on-stage interview. Final Coronation takes place on Saturday, October 29 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila. This event is livestreamed and televised in multiple countries.
"No matter the results, we know that Corrin has made the USA proud and has the focus and passion to be the next Miss Earth," said Clark.
With nearly 100 countries participating each year, Miss Earth is considered to be one of the largest and most relevant pageants on the planet. Delegates advocate for environmental awareness and protection of the Earth while showcasing various tourist destinations.
2015 Miss Earth winner Angelia Ong of the Philippines is recognized as a global environmental ambassador and one of the most recognized faces in pageantry. 2015’s USA representative Brittany Ann Payne ranked overall second runner up, and USA's 2014 delegate Andrea Neu ranked first runner up. Miss Earth honors its Top 4 court with the international titles of Earth, Air, Water and Fire and features these four women throughout the year.
